The Ganga is the largest river of India.
Ganga is the longest river flowing in India with a length of 2,510 kilometres. It originates from Gangotri Glacier at the Gaumukh mountains but it’s main course starts from the confluence of Bhagirathi and Alaknanda at Devprayag in Uttarakhand and flowing into the sea at Sunderbans.
Although, Indus with a overall length of 3,180 km and Brahmaputra with a length of 3,969 km are longer than Ganga but their most part lies in other countries. Length of Indus in India is 710 km and Length of Brahmaputra in India is 916 km.
Therefore, Ganga is the longest river in India.
